Once more into the fray

The worse part of writing is knowing exactly want you want to say but not knowing how to word it.

It’s that time of the year again. For the last 4 years I’ve been blaming myself for everything that had happened and today isn’t going to be any different. I don’t believe I deserve to celebrate this day. But rather spend it in remembrance of you.

So here's to you wherever you are..

You were like the moon. A part of you always hidden away. But once.. Once a while a beautiful full light that shines amidst all that darkness. I still remember a time where we laughed and laughed, together and separately, out loud and silently. We were determined to ignore whatever needed to be ignored, to build a new world from nothing if nothing in our world could be salvaged. It was one of the best days of my life, days during which I lived my life and didn’t think about my life at all. Imagine meeting someone who understood even the dustiest corners of your mixed up soul. You always had that about you, that look of otherness, of eyes that see things much too far, and of thoughts that wander off the edge of the world. But what we had. What we had in common. What we really wanted to do..was to tear a hole in this earth and escape. Well you have now... but I'm still finding a way to do so.

Once more into the fray.
Into the last good fight I'll ever know.
Live and die this day.

Live and die this day.

City And Colour-Hello, I'm In Delaware

So there goes my life
Passing by with every exit sign
It's been so long
Sometimes I wonder how I will stay strong
No sleep tonight
I'll keep on driving these dark highway lines
And as the moon fades
One more night gone, only another day

But I will see you again
I will see you again a long time from now

And there goes my life
Passing by with every departing flight
And its been so hard
So much time so far apart
And she walks the night
How many hearts will die tonight
And will things have changed
I guess I'll find out

But I will see you again
I will see you again a long time from now

My body aches,
and it hurts to sing,
and no one is moving
And I wish that I weren't here tonight,
but this is my life

And I will see you again
I will see you again a long time from now

And I will see you again
I will see you again a long time from now...
